# Another Thing

My podcast, started in October 2025 with one episode so far, on how to start a podcast.

Another Thing is my podcast and my third “thing,” after the blog and the Weekly Thing. The [first episode](https://another.thingelstad.com/2025/10/05/how-do-you-start-a.html), “How do you start a podcast?”, came out on October 5, 2025, and I announced it in [Weekly Thing 329](https://weekly.thingelstad.com/archive/329/) as “the podcast that I’ve been thinking about creating for a couple of years.” In it I talk about a chalkboard sign that told me to “be brave enough to suck at something new,” a story about Dr. John Carlis, whose class I took while studying computer science at the University of Minnesota, and an earlier attempt to turn the Weekly Thing into an AI-narrated show.

That is still the only episode. In [Weekly Thing 346](https://weekly.thingelstad.com/archive/346/) I wrote that I was not giving up on the show. In 2026 I built Another Thing Builder to make episodes, then retired it in October 2026 and moved podcast authoring into WT Builder. Thingy can search the episode transcripts.
