Reading Things was a newsletter about books from our whole family. Tammy, Mazie, Tyler, and I each wrote about what we were reading. I teased it as “a fun, new family project” in Weekly Thing 177, and the first issue went out on May 8, 2021. In Weekly Thing 186 I explained the plan: four emails a year, about books and things related to them, such as Tammy’s Corner and a bookstore challenge. There were no affiliate links, no tracking, and no “buy now” links.
Issues followed in summer and fall 2021. The Winter 2022 issue, sent on February 6, 2022, is the last one in the archive and the last one I mentioned. In July 2021 we marked 100 subscribers with a Reading Things First 100 POAP, which I wrote about in June 2022. No public source says why the newsletter stopped, and reading.thingelstad.com no longer answers.
