# Yearly Thing 2025

A book of every link I commented on in the 2025 Weekly Thing, subtitled Agents, Attention, Artifacts, in print and as an eBook.

For a few years I had wondered about a book version of the Weekly Thing, something like an almanac. I [started it over Christmas 2025](https://www.thingelstad.com/2026/01/19/i-just-finished-up-this.html) and [published it](https://www.thingelstad.com/2026/01/20/i-made-a-book-yearly.html) on January 20, 2026, as _Yearly Thing 2025: Agents, Attention, Artifacts_. It gathers all 324 links I commented on across 31 issues in 2025 into ten topic chapters, from The AI Revolution to Tools, Productivity and Delights, with an Introduction, a Weekly Thing Index, and an Afterword. The eBook keeps every hyperlink. The paperback lists the issue each item came from, with QR codes that lead to the Weekly Thing Index.

“I made the Yearly Thing with Claude Code,” I wrote in [Weekly Thing 339](https://weekly.thingelstad.com/archive/339/), and I laid out the book in Vellum. The [paperback is $30 on Lulu](https://www.lulu.com/shop/jamie-thingelstad/yearly-thing-2025/paperback/product-84w66ey.html), and the first print copies [arrived on January 27](https://www.thingelstad.com/2026/01/27/the-print-copies-of-the.html). The [eBook is $20 on Gumroad](https://jthingelstad.gumroad.com/l/yearly-thing-2025). Anyone who bought it in the first two months got a [Yearly Thing 2025 POAP](https://poap.gallery/drops/223594). All proceeds go to the Weekly Thing Supporting Membership program, and the book’s sales were part of the [$1,164.92 given to the Electronic Frontier Foundation](https://weekly.thingelstad.com/archive/347/) in May 2026.
