Filament is a MediaWiki skin that uses Yahoo’s Pure CSS framework. Its README calls it “a MediaWiki skin that focuses on your content,” the same aim as Foreground, which uses the heavier Zurb Foundation framework. Like Foreground, it was a project of WikiWonders, the MediaWiki project business I never got off the ground, and was published under that name with a 2-clause BSD license.

Garrick van Buren wrote most of it. The repository carries Foreground’s early history, and on June 6, 2013 Garrick began the Pure version; I updated it to Pure 0.2.0 and fixed asset paths. Karsten Hoffmeyer added a German translation and license fixes in November 2013, the last change to the code.

A demo wiki ran on my wiki farm at filament.thingelstad.com. By March 2014 its main page said the demo was blank and pointed visitors to GitHub. The repository is archived.
